Frequently asked questions
- What is the difference between this and Split PDF?
- They are opposites. Split keeps the pages you list and discards the rest; this removes the pages you list and keeps the rest. Use whichever is less typing for the document in front of you.
- Can I remove every page?
- No. A PDF with no pages is not a valid document, so at least one page has to stay. If you try to select all of them the button is disabled and the tool tells you why, rather than handing you a file that some readers refuse to open.
- Is the original file modified?
- No. The original is only read. The result is a new PDF containing copies of the pages you kept, and the file on your device stays exactly as it was.
- Are the kept pages re-compressed?
- No. Pages are copied across as-is, so text stays selectable and searchable and images keep their resolution. The new file is smaller only because it has fewer pages.
