What happens to your files

Every tool on this site runs inside your browser. When you choose a PDF or a photo, it is read into your browser's memory and processed there by JavaScript and WebAssembly that has already been downloaded to your device. The file is never sent to us, because there is no server to send it to — the site is a set of static files.

When you close the tab, the file is gone. We cannot recover it, produce it in response to a legal request, or lose it in a breach, because we never had it.

You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and run any tool. You will see no upload.

The Telegram bot is the exception

Our Telegram bot, @toolkavebot, cannot work the same way. A file you send it goes to Telegram's servers first, and our code then downloads it to convert it. That is how every Telegram bot works.

While converting, the file is held in memory only. It is never written to a disk, a database or a storage bucket, and it is discarded the moment the PDF is sent back. We keep only the Telegram identifiers needed to count the files in your current batch, and those are deleted when the batch finishes or after a day of inactivity.

Anything you send through Telegram is also covered by Telegram's own privacy policy.

What we measure

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not build a profile of you. It records aggregate figures: page views, country, referring site, and how quickly pages load.

Like every website, our host also keeps short-lived request logs — IP address, browser, and URL requested — which Cloudflare uses to serve the site and to block abuse.

The solar calculator also records that a calculation happened — a date and a tally, nothing else. Not your bill, not your roof, not where you put the pin, and nothing you typed. It tells us whether the tool is used at all; it cannot tell us anything about you.

When a tool finishes building a file - a presentation or a document you made here, a PowerPoint or an e-book turned into a PDF, or a PDF turned into an e-book - we record that one was made, and which format it was. A date and a tally again. The slides, the pictures and the words never leave your browser; this tells us whether anybody finishes what they start, and nothing about you or about what you made.

When you arrive from one of our own links — a button in the Telegram bot, or an advert we placed — the link carries a tag saying which one, and we record that. A date and a tally again. It tells us whether the bot brings anyone here; it records nothing about you, and the tag is removed from the address bar as soon as the page opens.

Opened inside Telegram's own browser, a finished file cannot be downloaded the ordinary way: it is handed over through the share sheet, and that can fail. We record whether it worked, so that we find out when it does not. Not which tool, not the file, not its size — only that a file was, or was not, handed over.

Cookies and local storage

We set no cookies of our own. Google advertising can set them, and the Advertising section below says what for.

One tool stores something on your device: the currency converter saves the day's exchange rates in your browser's local storage so it does not have to fetch them again. That data stays on your machine and contains nothing about you. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Other services

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which serves the pages and provides the analytics described above.

Fonts are served from this domain rather than a font network, so loading a page contacts nobody else.

Two tools reach outside on purpose: the currency converter fetches rates from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (cbu.uz) and open.er-api.com, and the YouTube thumbnail tool loads images from YouTube. Those requests carry the video ID or currency you asked about, nothing more.

Advertising

The site carries Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners can set cookies and read device identifiers in order to choose the adverts shown and to measure them. That is the only part of this site that involves anyone else.

What they cannot see is anything you do with a tool. Files are opened, read and rebuilt inside your browser and are never sent anywhere, so an advertiser learns which page you were on and nothing whatever about the document you had open on it.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked whether you consent to personalised advertising before any of this happens, and refusing is a button on the first screen rather than something buried in settings.

As of 21 September 2026 no advert has actually been shown: the account is still under review and every ad unit is switched off. What is live is the script that loads them, which is what the review looks for.

Your rights, and children

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing to export, correct or delete. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it.

The site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.

The solar calculators and Telegram

The calculators themselves work like everything else here: the numbers stay in your browser. The link that sends a result to our Telegram bot carries only what you entered about a roof and a bill, and nothing about you.

If you then tap Telegram’s share-number button, we store your name, that number, your Telegram username and the figures you calculated, so that a solar installer can call you back. That is the only personal data this site keeps anywhere, and it exists because you asked to be contacted. Message the bot and we will delete it.
