Frequently asked questions
- Can I skip the cover page?
- Yes. Tick 'Skip the first page' and numbering starts on page two. The count still advances, so page two shows the second number — which is what a report with an unnumbered cover normally wants.
- Can numbering start at something other than 1?
- Yes. Set any starting number, which is what you need when the PDF is one section of a longer document and its first page is really page 47.
- Will the numbers cover existing content?
- They are placed in the margin, about 28 points from the edge, so on ordinary documents they sit clear of the text. On a PDF with no margins they could overlap, so check before sharing.
- Are my files uploaded?
- No. The numbers are drawn into the document inside your browser, so contracts and reports never leave your device.
