Frequently asked questions
- Can I set only one of them?
- Yes. Leave either box empty and only the other is drawn, so this works equally well as a header-only or footer-only tool.
- Will the text overlap my content?
- It sits about 28 points from the page edge, which clears the margin on ordinary documents. A PDF laid out edge to edge could overlap, so check before sharing.
- Why is Cyrillic rejected?
- The fonts built into the PDF format only cover Latin characters. Drawing Cyrillic would mean embedding a font file, which is a large download for every visitor. The tool says so rather than producing empty boxes.
- Can it number pages too?
- Not here — the same text goes on every page. Use the page numbers tool for that, and run both if you want numbering and a label.
