Frequently asked questions
- Why does it say there are no fields?
- Because the PDF has no interactive form. Many documents only look fillable — a scan with printed lines has no fields at all. For those, use the signature tool to place text or a signature on the page instead.
- Which field types work?
- Text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns and radio groups. Signature and button fields are listed but cannot be filled here; use the signature tool for those.
- Should I flatten after filling?
- Flatten if you are sending the finished form to someone. It stops the values being changed and avoids viewers that render fields inconsistently. Leave it unflattened if you may need to edit later.
- Is my data uploaded?
- No. The document is parsed and rewritten in your browser, so passport numbers and bank details on an application form never leave your device.
