Frequently asked questions
- Can this hide or remove information?
- No — everything here is drawn on top of the page, and the original content underneath is completely untouched and still there. If you need to permanently remove sensitive content, use the separate Redact tool, which is built differently precisely because this one isn't safe for that.
- Why can notes only use Latin letters?
- The fonts built into the PDF format can't draw Cyrillic without embedding a much larger font file. A note using other characters is skipped rather than silently turning into empty boxes — everything else you added still goes through.
- Can I undo one highlight without starting over?
- Yes — each mark on the current page has its own Remove button, and "Clear this page" drops everything on just that page.
- Is my file uploaded?
- No. Rendering and everything else happens in your browser.
