Photos to scanned PDF

Turn phone photos of a document into a clean PDF.

Photograph a document with your phone and get a PDF that looks scanned rather than photographed. The clean-up pass whitens the paper and darkens the text, which is what separates this from simply putting photos in a PDF.

How to use it

  1. Add your photos — all of them at once.
  2. Drag them into page order and choose a clean-up mode.
  3. Press Create PDF and download it.

Frequently asked questions

What does Enhance actually do?
It finds where the paper and the ink sit in the image's brightness range and stretches that range to full black and white. That is what turns a grey, unevenly lit photo into something that reads as a scan.
When should I keep the colour?
For anything where colour carries meaning — a stamp, a coloured signature, a certificate. Enhance is for printed black text on white paper.
Does it straighten the page?
Not yet. Hold the phone parallel to the page and fill the frame; the clean-up handles lighting, not perspective.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens on your device, which is the point when you are photographing a passport or a contract.
