- What does Enhance actually do?
- It finds where the paper and the ink sit in the image's brightness range and stretches that range to full black and white. That is what turns a grey, unevenly lit photo into something that reads as a scan.
- When should I keep the colour?
- For anything where colour carries meaning — a stamp, a coloured signature, a certificate. Enhance is for printed black text on white paper.
- Does it straighten the page?
- Not yet. Hold the phone parallel to the page and fill the frame; the clean-up handles lighting, not perspective.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Everything happens on your device, which is the point when you are photographing a passport or a contract.
