Trim audio
Keep the part of an audio file you actually want.
Play the file, mark the start and end, and keep only that. Audio is cut without re-encoding, so it finishes instantly and the part you keep sounds exactly as it did.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
- Does cutting reduce the quality?
- No. The audio is copied rather than re-encoded, so what you keep is bit for bit what it was.
- Why did my cut start slightly early?
- Compressed audio is stored in blocks, and a copy can only begin at a block boundary. The difference is a fraction of a second and is rarely noticeable in speech or music.
- Can I make a ringtone with this?
- Yes. Cut the part you want and convert it to M4A for an iPhone, or keep the MP3 for Android.
- Can I cut out the middle?
- Not in one pass. Cut the piece before and the piece after, then join them.
